I bought a DE1Pro for the longer rated life of components. I thought the additional 12% in cost was worth having fewer future issues (hopefully). I recently upgraded the tablet with a used Lenovo Tab 4 Plus 8". Unfortunately its stuck at Android 7.1 and currently can't be upgraded to Android 8 (at least not the U.S. version).
